Midweek Focus 21 Barry Road All welcome

Midweek Focus

Our studies in the New Testament book of James will draw to a close on Wednesday, October 11. We have found the chapters full of wisdom, and like the Bible itself the words comfort the afflicted but afflict the comfortable, providing much food for thought.

On Wednesday, October 18,our attentions turn to the Old Testament and the book of Job. In a study series entitled 'Tried, Tested, and Triumphant', we will see the opening scene where God makes a deal with the devil that changes the course of Job’s Life. We will see the tragedies that befall him and the tears that flow as he bemoans the state of his life. We will consider Job’s wife and her motivation as she verbally berates him and watch as his “comforting” friends attack him. Ultimately as the narrative of Job is concluded we will see God in all His glory put everything into perspective for Job, eventually restoring His faithful servant to a blessed and full life.

A warm welcome awaits all interested in sharing in these times of midweek fellowship. Meetings are held at 21 Barry Road on Wednesdays from 7.30 to 9 pm. Study notes for the current and previous series can be found on the Midweek Focus page of the church website. For further information, contact Graham Suttie on 01241 852614.
