Conversations In Worship
(from www.lifeandwork.org)
The Church of Scotland’s Faith Nurture Forum is to host a series of online conversations on the experience of worship in 2020 and the lessons that have been learned for the future.
Beginning on Thursday November 5, the three 'Now What? Conversations in Worship' events will reflect on the experiences of churches during lockdown and the gradual reopening of buildings, think about worship renewal and aspirations for the future, and share practical resources.
Each week will include a time of worship, a keynote address and discussion groups.
The keynote speakers are Dr Gemma Simmonds CJ of the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology in Cambridge; author, speaker, activist, and public theologian Brian D McLaren; and Sam and Sara Hargreaves who run engageworship, a new expression of the Music and Worship Foundation aiming to resource local churches for creative, innovative and world-changing worship.
Conversations in Worship is a collaboration between the Priority Areas, Resourcing Worship and Education and Learning teams, who are all part of the Faith Nurture Forum.
The event is free. Register through Eventbrite by 9am on Thursday November 5.
