Sanctuary Foundation: Upcoming Events
Dear friends
We have exciting news to share with you: TV personality and national treasure Mel Giedroyc has offered to help present the ‘No Place Like Home’ Refugee Literary Festival taking place in two weeks' time at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Trafalgar Square (Tuesday 20th of June from 4.30-9.15pm).
Mel says:
"My father came to the UK as a refugee when he was 18 years old and I have grown up listening to his incredible story. I encourage you to join me at this unique event where we will have the privilege of hearing refugees from around the world sharing their own powerful and moving stories with us“
Amongst the other speakers will be Yeva Skalietska, a 13-year-old Ukrainian refugee, whose book ‘You Don’t Know What War Is’ has been published by Bloomsbury.
