The service was held in Crown Court Church of Scotland, Covent Garden, and conducted jointly by the Rev Scott Rennie, minister at Crown Court, and the Rev Angus Macleod, minister at St Columba’s Church in Knightsbridge. The guest preacher was The Very Rev David Fergusson, Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland. The Rev Alistair Cumming, Clerk to the Presbytery of England and the Channel Islands, was also in attendance.

Choirs from both churches were joined by members of the Robin Chapel Choir. The lessons were read by Prof Bert Kerrigan KC, chair of the Thistle Trust and Susan Pym, Moderator of the Presbytery.

Amongst the 170 people who attended were the Secretary of State for Scotland, The Rt Honourable Alister Jack and Mrs Ann Jack.
