Prayer Connection

But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that members may have the same care for one another.
- 1 Corinthians 12:24b-25 (ESV)

Sunday, July 23
I am struck again that God really wants his bride to be united. "That there may be no division in the body..." (1 Corinthians 12:25). That was also Jesus' final exhortation to his disciples in John 17. Are we united? "What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you?" (James 4:1). The early church dealt with this just as much as we do today. Where do you see division? How can you help heal that today?

Monday, July 24
Pray for MAF staff in Kalimantan, which is on the Indonesian side of Borneo. Pray they continue to enjoy a good relationship with the Ministry of Health, with whom MAF partners for medevac services. Pray also for the patients and their families to whom MAF ministers. Pray for changed lives.

Tuesday, July 25
Thank God for another successful flight camp. Twelve teens spent a week flying and enjoying the outdoors while learning about missions in Cascade, ID.

Wednesday, July 26
Pray for Grant and Emily Strugnell who serve with MAF in Lesotho, Africa. While Grant serves as a pilot, Emily directs the Pulane Children’s Center. They have one daughter.

Thursday, July 27
Pray for an evangelism team who just arrived in Matsaile, Lesotho. Pray for them as they conduct door-to-door evangelism and Bible studies alongside the pastoral couple who are based there full-time. Pray for spiritual fruit.

Friday, July 28
Pray for Andrew and Angie Sutton, part of the MAF staff assigned to Haiti. Like the rest of their team, Suttons and their four girls recently relocated to Nampa. They are grateful to have found a church home and ask for continued prayers for those on various work groups, making decisions about how and when to return to Haiti.

Saturday, July 29
Praise God for Matteo and Ana Chimbo, who served with MAF in Ecuador for 38 years. Both Mateo and Ana talked about the impact missionaries had on their faith. Thank God for their service.
