A presence prayer

‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.’ (Isaiah 6:3, NIV)

God of all,

As the dawn colours the sky, and the birds call forth the new day – Open my heart to your presence.

As I go about my daily routine; as I eat, drink, work and play – Open my heart to your presence.

As I walk among the beauty of your world; as I take in its wonders – Open my heart to your presence.

As the clouds of grief, sorrow and worry surround me – Open my heart to your presence.

As I face doubt, uncertainty and the shaking of my beliefs – Open my heart to your presence.

As the sun lowers, darkness falls, and I lay down my head to sleep – Open my heart to your presence.

Amen.
