Tearfund Lent Devotional Day 5
Look, look!
‘Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.’ (Psalm 30:5, NIV)
Each Sunday we will share a poem with you. Treat this as a Sabbath day. Go slow; be still; be open to what the Holy Spirit might say.
Look, look!
A few easy moments taken in the sun;
three small birds blessing me with their songs;
each with their charming particularity;
each showing (and I'd bet my life upon it)
that they are in possession of a soul;
each repeating (and I beg you to listen)
precisely the same refrain
Look, look, it is spring, it is spring!
Look, look! Life is rising from beneath the ground.
The green river is flowing, the green river is flowing!
It is ready to burst its banks.
