A transformation prayer

‘He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.’ (Philippians 1:6, NIV)

Every Saturday we will focus purely on prayer. Take your time with this. Allow yourself space to tune in to how God might be leading you to respond.

Write down – on a piece of paper, in a notebook or on your phone – three situations where you want to see change take place. These might be situations where you have felt stuck for some time, or global circumstances where change seems impossible.

Once you have written them down, read through them, place your hand over them, then thank God that change is possible. Ask God what he is already doing in these situations, and how he might want you to participate. Be silent for a few seconds. Release the burden to God. Repeat this as many times as you like. You might want to do this together with a friend, family member, or group that you trust.
