Stronger than the storms.

Something to read

May the Lord give strength to his people!

- Psalm 29:11 from full reading Psalm 29.

Something to think about

Hurricanes have massive power, as the people of Haiti know. Yet the psalmist says that God is greater. His power is evident in his voice and his actions.

Together, with God, we are stronger than the storms. By working together, helping and praying for the people of Haiti, we can continue building homes of hope so that the people of Haiti are not displaced when the next hurricane hits.

We can stand together against the storms and against the displacement of people around the world.

Something to do

Tell others to take action for climate justice by sharing the loss and damage petition.

Something to pray

Lord we praise you for the work of our partner KORAL in Haiti.

Thank you for providing a safe home for Vilia and for the way she sheltered her neighbours.

We praise you that you are stronger than the hurricanes, and that by working together with You more homes of hope can be built in Haiti.

Amen.

Today's reflection is by Cynan Llwyd, former Christian Aid Regional Coordinator for south and mid Wales.
