Speaking truth from the heart.
Something to read
Oh Lord, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill? Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart.
- Psalm 15:1-2.
Something to think about
Speaking truth from the heart is the very core of the work of Christian Aid.
We believe that poverty is an outrage. We speak truth to those in power and who are able to create change.
We challenge the structures and systems that allow poverty to persist. We stand by and speak up for the poor, the powerless, and the marginalised.
Right now, we’re campaigning for climate justice for the many people who are suffering the extremes of climate change who have done the least to cause the problem.
We believe each one of us deserves respect and care. We believe all people should be protected from harm, and have a chance to rebuild their lives.
Something to do
If you are not yet a campaigner with Christian Aid, please take a look at our faith in action films to inspire you to take action.
We need you to raise your voice and speak truth from your heart.
Something to pray
Lord, I dare to dream of a world
where your truth spreads like wildfire
Ignite in me the will to fan these flames
That a new spirit of powerful collaboration
may transform our communities.
Amen.
Something to pray
Jesus who was angry,
Who cleared the temple with your indignation,
May your energy be in me
As I raise my voice
And stamp my feet
For justice.
Now.
Amen.
