Sarah Kroger: How Can I Choose Hope Rather Than Fear?
“To celebrate Easter is to believe once more that God constantly breaks into our personal histories, challenging our “conventions”, those fixed ways of
thinking and acting that end up paralyzing us. To celebrate Easter is to allow Jesus to triumph over the craven fear that so often assails us and tries
to bury every kind of hope.” // Pope Francis
Easter is celebrated for 50 days on the liturgical calendar. To be honest, celebrating the Easter season is something I’ve never really been good at. I’m
challenging myself to do Easter different this year.
Some questions I’m thinking through: How do I allow the truth and power of the resurrection to shape my life?
What do I need to be set free from?
How can I choose hope rather than fear?
May these next 50 days of celebration leave a lasting mark on our lives and community
