Sunday, 7th May
Young Performance Athletes (YPAs) <https://christiansinsport.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5dff7e5e660179476871964d&id=7ce6c9f98f&e=020d4fe54e>
Give thanks for the two groups of YPAs (15-17 & 19-23yr old) that meet regularly online to read the Bible, share fellowship, and pray. Pray these groups would be a genuine support to each YPA as they go through the highs and lows of performance pathway sport.
Monday, 8th May
Elite Football
Give thanks for the number of Christian players, coaches and staff we support within elite <https://christiansinsport.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5dff7e5e660179476871964d&id=21fb7f0e2e&e=020d4fe54e> football, through regular online Bible study groups and 1-2-1 fellowship. Pray for those facing uncertainty with contracts or injury as the current domestic season draws to a close.
Tuesday, 9th May
Pray for spikeball tournaments happening today at Birmingham University and on Thursday at Surrey University. Pray these events would be great opportunities for students to share Jesus with their sports friends during the exam period when competitive seasons for most sports have finished.
Wednesday, 10th May
Partners
Give thanks for God’s provision of finances and the partners who support the work financially. Pray for the current fundraising campaign <https://christiansinsport.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5dff7e5e660179476871964d&id=22d847cf88&e=020d4fe54e> , that more people might prayerfully consider partnering with us.
Thursday, 11th May
Liverpool Sports Quiz
Pray for the Liverpool local network <https://christiansinsport.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5dff7e5e660179476871964d&id=ec5a3ca231&e=020d4fe54e> as they host a Sports Quiz tonight. Pray for sportspeople to be bold as they invite their friends to come and pray that the gospel talk shared during the evening would encourage guests to investigate Jesus for themselves.
Friday, 12th May
Edinburgh Sports Quiz
Pray for the Edinburgh local network <https://christiansinsport.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b5dff7e5e660179476871964d&id=67e6d4b7df&e=020d4fe54e> as they host a Sports Quiz tonight. Pray that the event would create a fun environment for sportspeople to come and hear the good news of Jesus. Pray for boldness for Christians inviting their friends to come and for continued opportunities to share faith afterwards.
Saturday, 13th May
Pray for the weekly devotional, ‘Game Day.’ Pray that God would use the current series reflecting on what it means to be made in God’s image to encourage sportspeople in their faith as they prepare to train or compete.
