Elite Cycling
As the Tour de France runs throughout July, pray for God to raise up more Christians in the world of Men’s and Women’s Professional Cycling. Pray that Christians in Sport might be able to connect with and support them.
Monday, 3rd July
Recruitment
As applications close today, continue to pray for the process of recruiting a new Fundraising and Engagement Manager to join the staff team at Christians in Sport. Pray that God would raise up the right person for the role and that they’d be a faithful servant of the work.
Tuesday, 4th July
Sports Plus
Praise God for the teams of leaders that will give their time to serve at the 7 Sports Plus camps this summer. Pray that every leader would reflect God’s love to the young people both in action and word as they serve and that leaders would be encouraged in their faith as they leave Sports Plus.
Wednesday, 5th July
Governance
Give thanks for the Christians in Sport Board of Trustees as they meet today. Pray they would continue to walk closely with the Lord and serve His kingdom work in their roles as trustees.
Thursday, 6th July
British Athletics Championships
Pray for Christian athletes competing at the British Championships that start this weekend. Pray that they’d know their identity is in Christ as they compete, particularly in the face of pressure to perform to be selected for major championships later in the summer.
Friday, 7th July
Faith in Football Conference
Pray for Graham Daniels as he speaks at the inaugural faith in football conference hosted by Ambassadors Football at Harper Adams University tomorrow. Pray that the conference would be an encouragement to the Christian players, coaches and leaders who attend.
Saturday, 8th July
Sports Plus Perth
Pray for Sports Plus Perth as leaders prepare together ahead of young people arriving on Sunday. Pray for unity amongst the team of leaders as they spend the weekend preparing to serve young people together at Sports Plus.
