increased requests for prayer and fellowship. “In

Iran, churches are closed, and people have a need

for prayer and for conversation,” shares Ashraf, presenter of

Sanctuary of the

Heart

.

“Coming from different backgrounds, where prayer

is often ritualistic or formulaic, our viewers are often

unsure as to how to pray. Through

Sanctuary of the

Heart

, we want to show viewers how to pray and

encourage them to pray for themselves and others.

We want to open their eyes to the role of prayer

in our daily lives, to challenge them, and to enter

into a conversation with them so that they may be

encouraged and will be able to encourage others as

well.”

The programme is also being watched by isolated

and persecuted Christians in Afghanistan,

highlighting the great spiritual need in the country.

Arman*, a male viewer in Afghanistan recently
