ECONOMIC CRISIS

Türkiye is currently in the grip of a fiscal crisis, which

is straining the economy. The declining value of

the Turkish lira is a major concern, and living costs

are spiralling out of control. The financial fallout

of the COVID-19 pandemic has diminished many

people’s quality of life and contributed to increased

discrimination against Christians.

Many in Turkish society even believe that the

Christian minority is responsible for the rapid

spread of COVID-19. Pray that misconceptions and

the voices that are spreading false rumours about

Christians and COVID will dissipate. Ask that God

will bring Türkiye into a place of economic stability.
