CHURCHES

Deadly attacks on churches, which have tended to

be focused around key Christian events like Easter

and Christmas, as well as restrictions on building

churches, have left many believers feeling fearful

and ostracised.

However, in April this year, 239 church licences

were approved in a positive move from the

government towards the Christian community.

Give thanks for the work of the licensing committee;

pray that churches will continue to be approved

and this will reduce hostility towards the Christian

community. Pray for an end to the violence that

churches are sometimes subjected to so that

believers feel able to meet and worship without fear.
