Surprise!

Sometimes you wonder what is being achieved. Are people becoming Christians? Are people responding? And then there's a nice surprise.

Meet Kirsty the youth coordinator for Alpha Scotland...

Over half way.

We are now over half way with the funding needed for the all-Scotland bus campaign in April. Over £51,500 has been given or pledged already. We have two weeks to go to raise the remaining £48,500. Many people have given so generously. If that's you, thank you so much. Keep praying about this and keep giving! (£520 for a bus side, £120 for a rear panel - or part thereof.)

Churches.

Many churches are finding how easy it is to engage with trypraying.

1. Show the idea video <https://email.stargrange.com/t/r-l-jthilykd-uttrudttuh-j/> to your church.

2. Order an Easter bundle <https://email.stargrange.com/t/r-l-jthilykd-uttrudttuh-t/> of booklets and a banner - special price £100 plus p&p

3. Plan two Sundays in April to 'use it and lose it <https://email.stargrange.com/t/r-l-jthilykd-uttrudttuh-i/> '.

Surprise conversation..

"I had just finished speaking about trypraying in a Sunday morning service when a lady said she had a story to tell. Some years ago she had given her brother, who doesn't attend church, a copy of the trypraying booklet. During a recent visit she had noticed the booklet lying on the table so she asked him if he had actually read it. His response took her by surprise. He picked up the booklet, held it close and said, "This has helped me through difficult situations so I am keeping it close".

"It made me realise that although a person may not become a Christian at the time we would wish nevertheless God is at work. He is sovereign. Ephesians 2:8 says that salvation, "is all his idea, and all his work" (TM). It's not for us to determine the pace of a person's journey into faith. Our role is to bless what God is doing and to pray. Let's do that!

David Hart, development coordinator trypraying.

Another surprise...

In a secular media agency's planning session the following was heard: "The trypraying advertising campaign is impressive. It asks, and answers, the question all in one - and does it in just two words."

Encouragement indeed!
