Urgent Appeal For Yemen

(from www.premierchristianradio.com)

Dear Friend,

Farah* lives in a graveyard with her children.

She is one of tens of millions caught up in the terrible civil war in Yemen.

When fighting erupted by her village, Farah’s neighbours were killed.

‘It was the worst day of my life. The sound of airstrikes, shelling and buzzing surrounded us. Bullets were chasing us as we fled.’ <https://premierchristianmedia.co.uk/16DQ-6GIO6-HBY0V8-3QDAQH-1/c.aspx>

Farah and her children walked all night, and the safest place they could find was the cemetery. They are still living there now. It breaks her heart but they have nowhere else to go.

A few weeks ago, I wrote to you about the crisis in Yemen currently, the worst humanitarian crisis on earth. It’s hard to stress how desperate situation is.

Right now, 14 million people face a terrible famine. Add to that, there is a serious outbreak of cholera 85,000 children have already died from disease and hunger.

However, you can make a massive difference.

£70 could give two families a vital hygiene kit, including soap, toothpaste, sanitary towels and nappies.

£36 could provide a family with a food basket, containing essential food and cooking items to help them survive the crisis.

GIVE TODAY! <https://premierchristianmedia.co.uk/16DQ-6GIO6-HBY0V8-3QDAQI-1/c.aspx>

Simple gifts like these are a lifeline to families like Farah’s. I would love it if you would consider making a generous gift right now. It really could help to save a life.

And please, please, remember our work in Yemen when you pray. Our workers and partners are truly following Jesus where the need is greatest it’s tough and dangerous work.

Thank you for all you’re able to do.

Yours in Christ,

Karen Swartz Soerensen

Country Director for Yemen

PS: If you’ve already given to this appeal, please accept my sincere thanks.
