Praise the Lord!

Something to read

Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:1-6

Something to reflect on

All you big things, bless the Lord!
Mount Kilimanjaro and Lake Victoria,
the Rift Valley and the Serengeti Plain,
fat baobabs and shady mango trees,
all eucalyptus and tamarind trees:
bless the Lord!
Praise and extol him forever and ever!

All you tiny things, bless the Lord!
busy black ants and hopping fleas,
wriggling tadpoles and mosquito larvae,
flying locusts and water drops,
pollen dust and tsetse flies,
mullet seeds and dried dagaa:
bless the Lord!
Praise and extol him forever and ever!

A psalm of praise from Africa

Something to do

Consider what your own song of praise might include. Think about where you live, and what could praise the Lord. Write it down.

Something to pray

Read Psalm 150:1-6 or the psalm you have written as a prayer of praise to God.
