Fairtrade Foundation: Fairtrade Church News - Get Involved

Dear Friend,

This autumn we are celebrating the 25th birthday of the FAIRTRADE Mark <https://www.e-activist.com/ea-action/enclick?eaurl.id=3984528&ea.campaigner.email=%2FoQH3Pc8uUYW74CEhSYedNi7SBjRL51PURKQ3UxCEoI=&ea.campaigner.id=N48ecobncs0UHgIT5m4sfA==&ea_broadcast_target_id=0> in the UK, and are inviting all of our Fairtrade Churches to join the party. We will be launching a new recommitment form in and a suite of new resources for churches before Fairtrade Fortnight next year, so watch this space. Until then, you can get more involved in our movement in other ways.

Celebrating our 25th Anniversary in your church

In October, Fairtrade communities from across the UK will stand together to 'Make their Mark' for farmers Whether it is recreating the FAIRTRADE Mark in the sand, building the Mark out of people or projecting it onto a local landmark, communities across the UK will be showing the heart and strength of our campaigner-led movement that improves the lives of more than 1.6 million farmers in 75 countries

You can make your mark too! Read our 25th anniversary party leaflet <https://www.e-activist.com/ea-action/enclick?ea.url.id=3984529&ea.campaigner.email=%2FoQH3Pc8uUYW74CEhSYedNi7SBjRL51PURKQ3UxCEoI=&ea.campaigner.id=N48ecobncs0UHgIT5m4sfA==&ea_broadcast_target_id=0> to help you get started on creative ideas on how to recreate the Mark and make it count this autumn.

Run in our NCC elections

We have important upcoming elections for the National Campaigner Committee <https://www.fairtrade.org.uk/get%20involved//In-your-community/National-Campaigner-Committee?utm_medium=email&utm_source=engagingnetworks&utm_campaign=July+Fairtrade+News&utm_content=July+Fairtrade+Towns+e-news+29/07/2019+10:49:46> representatives in South West England, Northern England, East Midlands and Scotland.

The NCC is an integral part of how we look to our future and reflect on our past at Fairtrade. It is made up of UK wide representatives from our amazing Fairtrade communities, nominated and voted for by their fellow campaigners.

These representatives take on the important role of sharing campaigners' needs with us, meeting with us three times a year. If you think you or someone you know would be please find out more here <https://www.fairtrade.org.uk/get%20involved/In-your-community/National-Campaigner-Committee?utm_medium=email&utm_source=engagingnetworks&utm_campaign=July+Fairtrade+News&utm_content=July+Fairtrade+Towns+e-news+29/07/2019+10:49:46> .

Votes will be counted and representatives elected at the Regional Supporter Conferences <https://www.fairtrade.org.uk/get%20involved//In-your-community/Regional-Supporter-Conferences?utm_medium=email&utm_source=engagingnetworks&utm_campaign=July+Fairtrade+News&utm_content=July+Fairtrade+Towns+e-news+29/07/2019+10:49:46> .

Last but not least...

Last week we handed in our petition to the new Prime Minister. We asked the Government to back cocoa farmers and their fight for living incomes. Thank you to everyone who signed, we had over 50,000 signatures, which is amazing! We'll keep you updated with any further developments, but if you've not signed it yet the petition <http://www.e-activist.com/ea-action/enclick?ea.url.id=3984532&ea.campaigner.email=%2FoQH3Pc8uUYW74CEhSYedNi7SBjRL51PURKQ3UxCEoI=&ea.campaigner.id=N48ecobncs0UHgIT5m4sfA==&ea_broadcast_target_id=0> is still open!

Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Angharad Hopkinson
