All Souls Orchestra: A Festival of Christmas
Integrity Music announces the November 2 global release of A Festival Of Christmas, a new instrumental collection of hymns and seasonal carols performed by All Souls Orchestra, the renowned fellowship of Christian musicians based at the historic All Souls Church in London.
Located at the end of Regent Street in London's West End, All Souls Church is an iconic and much-loved landmark. Consecrated in 1824, the building is still packed with worshipers every Sunday. And it was in this lovely Georgian building that the All Souls Orchestra gathered this past summer to record A Festival Of Christmas.
Led by Dr. Noel Tredinnick, Conductor and Music Director for All Souls Church, the orchestra immerses listeners in traditional Christmas favorites such as "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Silent Night" alongside contemporary works including "Sleigh Ride" and "From The Squalor Of A Borrowed Stable." The sweeping arrangements not only inspire musicians, they provide listeners with an ideal musical backdrop for celebrations throughout the Christmas season.
"This is a recording to sing along with," says Tredinnick who explains that many of the tracks were designed as "accompaniments for your voice."
"A Festival Of Christmas shows just how music can express the broad array of moods associated with the Advent season," adds Tredinnick, "Joy, peace, fear, anxiety, shame, humility, rejection and resolution all focused around the revelation and good news of Christ’s birth."
