Good Neighbours Drop-In Cafe

A new venture for our church is a twice monthly Good Neighbours Drop-In Cafe to be held in Barry Church Hall on Wednesdays from 10 to 11.30 am. On offer will be a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits, all for just £1. There will also be a stall stocked with home baking and a variety of non-perishable foodstuffs. As the first day of the cafe, Wednesday 11th October, coincides with National Chocolate Week, we will also have a special treat for those attending!!, courtesy of Divine Chocolate Ltd - Sharing Tastes Divine.

The purpose of the cafe is to reach out to the community and open the doors of the church for the benefit of local people, drawing them together in a warm and friendly environment where there will be a welcome for everyone. Whether a church-goer or not, you will find a laid back, family atmosphere making it the ideal place to relax with friends. . So if you’re out and about and need a refreshing cuppa, why not pop along to the Church Hall where you’ll find good fare served by friendly volunteers in warm comfortable surroundings.

October and November cafe dates are: October 11 and 25, and November 8 and 22. All proceeds will be in aid of church funds. If you are interested in helping with this venture, offers of assistance on any of the above dates will be most welcome. For more information, telephone 01241 852614.
